Last Free Track! For now…

April 1, 2010

Well gals & gents, here it is. The final track from Live @ the Ol’ WD. It’s a song we’ve been playing for a while and we hope you get WAY into it:

To bring up the history from the SONG CHRONOLOGY PAGE:

RADIO TRANSMISSION SONG – This song is a wonderful, wonderful mother. Lyrics, beats, synth, and bass came together in only a few hours. I think the lyrics speak pretty clearly  - it’s about someone wanting someone else.  I was running a huge fever and couldn’t speak – so in the original recording I played for Nick and Rory all you could hear was the drum machine, bass, synth, and me whispering the lyrics into the mic. Once that was done, Rory proceeded to layer 5 – count ‘em – 5 guitar parts in addition to Nick’s Rhythm and Piano parts. It’s still my favorite (Obviously, since I’m writing so damn much about it.). Pete calls this song “That weird bass line.” We recently figured out how we’re going to perform it live. My soul became a little bit fuller that day.

Guess it’s not so recent anymore…(need to get around to updating that page.)

And if you weren’t at the last show and are dying to hear the song in person, get your ass on down to Whiskey Dix, April 3, when we play with Lay Like Dogs. More details??? CLICK ON THIS!

See you Saturday you wonderful bastards,

ST from CZ
